Whether you are relatively new to Photoshop or you want to quickly expand your expertise; tutoring one on one is designed to enable you to achieve your goals with digital imaging. Adobe Photoshop is the industry standard in digital imaging, it is an environment of endless creative possibilities.
In order to use Photoshop effectively you must be instructed along the lines of your creative interests first. After a discussion of your digital imaging goals we will set up a schedule.
In the "Photographing Dance Workshops" we will be working with accomplished dancers from various pro companies. I will be focusing on how to capture the technical expertise of a dancer. Lighting is of course everything and we will be exploring a variety of successful techniques. I will instruct you on camera settings, lighting technique and how to collaborate with an extremely well trained dancer. THIS IS A WORKSHOP ENVIRONMENT, YOU WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHING!The Workshop is four hours and limited to six participants. This is a rare opportunity to photograph dance at its best!
Learn the correct workflow for processing your digital images and how to maximize your image quality. With the advancement of digital photography there have never been so many software options available to today's photographers. The choices, costs, and learning curves can be so daunting that it can be hard to know where to start...and finish. Enter ADOBE LIGHTROOM. This powerful, user-friendly, all-in-one software was produced with photographers in mind – not computer gurus. All the tools of digital image processing and organization are here: folders, white balance, levels, cropping, Hue, Saturation, black/white conversion and much, much, more. Everything is laid out in front of you in an elegant, clean interface. This course is delivered in five, three hour classes and will guide you through the fundamentals of image processing.
Instruction on the techniques and communication skills required to create compelling portraits. Each class presents several new portrait styles, starting with available light and minimal equipment and building with more and more sophisticated lighting equipment and techniques as we progress through the classes. I bring over twenty years of experience as a professional portrait photographer to these classes. A model is provided. You should be well acquainted with shutter speeds, f-stops and ISO, metering and focusing. Bring a DSLR camera and wide, normal and telephoto lenses. Class size is limited to four people.
This is a unique opportunity to go over your photos with professional photographer and instructor Gary Ray Rush. First your photos are reviewed to determine your level of skill, followed by a discussion of your goals. Instruction then begins in order to give you the tools, knowledge and skills you need, to take you to the next level as a photographer.
