Michael’s unique blend of images, from the infamously dark lit alleys of the Drake Hotel, to the extraordinary pics of the architectural under bellies of the highways and byways of this great city epitomizes the meaning of all that is Street Chic. Conway’s professional sense of structure, combined with his love for beauty found in the most obscure of places has created a truly track stopping installation. For an added extra bonus, be sure to check out Conway’s images of New York’s elevated subway lines – it’s something you don’t want to miss.

John Parkes embodies the notions and vision of the festival by bringing you an interesting concoction of all that is urban through the fusion of Toronto’s well known graffiti artists as they are seen on local structures and surfaces. His medley of images, as well as interest in all that is around is sparked by the concept of ‘found art being brought to life’. Parkes will make you appreciate the raw beauty of life as his photographs capture the edge of all that is.

Starting September 8th, The Elaine Fleck Gallery will also be showing images taken by Gallery Collective members Faroch Monajem, Luby Carr, Gord Fulton, and Peter Alberti completing the concoction that is “Street Chic”.

As the summer humidity holds you until a welcome breeze arrives to set you free. One thing is for certain, The Elaine Fleck Gallery, in its new location, is always refreshing!

After an amazing year at the gallery, Kathy Kissik has renewed the gallery once again with her works of wonder; you can look forward to several new pieces arriving throughout the summer.

Dr. Peter Alberti has traveled extensively in South East, Central and East Asia for many years. The show includes highlights of trips to Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and China. He has a long fascination with the Silk Roads and will show new images from Western China. Peter has been creating ‘slide show’ talks for more than 40 years, his favourite form of photographic expression.
